Wanted to compair a Mack E9 (V8 inline Bosch Pump) DV .035 coller (191 has .030) to full cuts. Any questions feel free to ask. A big thanks goes to Lloyd for getting me in on short notice.

Run#7 509hp Is Base fuel only Mack DV
Run#9 557hp Is Washer fluid inj.
Run#10 596hp Is Full Cuts with Washer fluid
Run#13 608hp Is Messing with the load option on the dyno.. 25%

Do I read correctly, full cut made 99hp difference?? Or was that top run with ww fluid?
 
It would be a 49hp difference between the two with washer fluid being injected. Thats pretty cool! But what is the smoke difference, boost and EGT difference between the two?
 
Ok. My bad. I'm interested on the smoke issue. Did it get alot worse? Egt etc? Thanx for doing this! Then the rest of us don't gotta!!
 
Sorry for not getting back sooner. There is a hostage situation in my development. FBI and all are here, We are on lock down once we leave we do not get back in untill its over.

39hp increase, way more smoke with full cuts that wont clear, EGT's are high with both 1600deg at near end of run but seemed to sweep quiker with the full cuts, Boost was 60psi with Mack Dv's and a little more with full cuts. My gauge only goes to 60lb but the needle will wrap so guessing were the needle was Id say 70psi somewere in there.
 
I had a set of FC and EDM holders in the other pump that I had with me but I was happy with the #'s I turned on Sat.

I was thinking there would be more comments about the full cut testing ??
 
great, here i am thinkin i would do better and make more power with a set of 191's over full cuts, now i dont know what to do. i know the injectors are going to be different, a set of Weston's 5x.014's, much better than these junk 370s(IMHO), i think i have a problem with the DV's in the truck, they sound like one of them may be sticking they should be full cuts, but im not 100% sure. maybe i need to pull one and find out....

I doubt that 191's will make more power than full cuts but if you want to try 191s I have an almost new set you could try.
 
Sounds about right to me adding the full cuts, I gained 29 hp going from 181's to .022's.

The question is why do you need full cut DV's to make 600 hp with Twins and Water/Meth, Full cuts suck ass on the street!

That top turbo is choking you down without a doubt but I know you know that.

If you can give me a few ideas on how to break 600 on 191's without changing what I have for chargers and without removing the pump Im all ears.
As soon as I get enough coin Im gonna adress the turbo issue. I would say 600 is a good bit to squeeze through a 35/40 charger. The 5psi of fuel pressure at WOT may also be hurting me...lol

Well your thinking right in my eyes, unless your running an external gate to the hot pipe this is a tall order for a Holset turbo....they just don't flow exhaust.....you and I both know a S series is next then an external gate after that as a next step.

As of now the gate is a 38mm flap on the hx35 and nothing in the hot pipe. The Wastegate on the 35 during those runs was disabled and pulled shut. Im sure drive pressure was nuts.
 
Laser cuts are good at making power, and flowing fuel, just smokey.

A lot of guys on here hate laser cuts. I havent heard near as much debate on it as i thought i might in this thread though?

I know ? Not that I wanted to start anything but the 191 making more hp then a Full Cut theory was busted in my case.
 
i can deal with the smoke, and heat of the full cuts, i just think that one of them may be sticking, it just has this weird idle every now and then, it feels like a miss, but you dont hear it? i thought it may be because they are full cuts. soo i dont know what to do.
