egt prob placement post or pre turbo

bought a bulldog tripple dog with outlook moniter & in the instruction it says to mount the pyro post turbo on the cummins & pre turbo on ford & gm.what is the reason for diff location.on there vid they show the guy installing the prob pre turbo on a dodge.i always thought pre turbo was best.

Pre is more accurate. You want to know how hot the turbo is getting. Post is like 200-300 degress off if you go that way.
