Jeff and I have been comtemplating putting on an electric water pump to keep from having to use a bypass kit....

Jeff says we can then remove the impeller form the manual pump, get a different sized belt, Not worry about water pressure, and gain a few ponies!!

Anybody have experience with this on a CR .....Or otherwise for that matter?????

Thoughts?

Also, Who make's them and which is Best???

i ordered one but dunno when ill get it. i sill need to find the thread that has the part number for the shorter belt since I am keeping my A/C

I got a brand new Poly Cog gator back belt with your name on it.

Yeah, What about a belt that'll fit Dual Cp3's and skip the WP???

I ran this same question by Jeff and he didn't seem to think much of it. Guess he doesn't want my truck to be faster than your LOL You can go this route....

but, you can also get the pump at Jegs and build your own which is my plan.....

I don't think that's the case man!! LOL ....I promise to let you win some TY!! lol

He's just recently expressed interest in it for my truck....
I guess I could do a bypass kit but we were looking for the less expensive / most effective way here......

word...now if i could just get the pump. ordered it 2-1/2 weeks ago and havent seen it yet. i had my water pump clipped last year and never had even the slightest issue at 4k but i didnt wanna risk it this year

I may not even do it to mine. The gain would barely be noticeable and the only " real " benefit IMO, would be... after runs at the track you could shut the truck down and leave the pump going for cooling. Then though, you'll run into having to put your truck on a charger while in the pits to avoid killing the batteries.

You need to talk to Enterprise for the belt number using dual CP3's with the electric pump

The by-pass serves a whole other purpose.

im not sure how long you plan on running it...but i have run my stereo in my truck with 800W amp and 2-12" subs for over 2 hours at a time and the lights didn't dim, and the truck started right up, no slow cranking.

that's pretty good. Do that too much though and you'll have no batteries left.

My thinking is... between the electric pump and electric fans ( which he didn't say but, was my plan ) you'd kill the battery pretty quick

You can come steel Milkys

its ok, i can run my modded stocker for now until pulling season starts...i wont be hitting any high rpms for awhile, gotta break the cam in first.

Anyone DD with these pumps? We have had 2 and now possibly a 3rd fail. Seal goes out and fills motor with coolant, then seizes.

Really thinking about going back to the enterprise bypass kit and stock pump..

Spoke to Jeff today about an external electric pump (Can't remember the brand) where you keep the stocker in place but just cut the fins off of it......He says it'll free up some power and keep the water pressure consistant!!!

Anybody familiar with style pump????

Mine made it less than 2K miles before it started blowing fuses...and the guy I bought it from won't PM me back, and I lost his number...so I'm stuck. Too bad I bought another one for my 1/2 ton.

I went back to the stock pump, and I already had the Cummins plate for the rear freeze plug to bypass...so I should be OK.

I think I might cancel the order on mine and just use the bypass and modified stocker I have
