Hey guys, have a 98 freightliner fl60 dump truck i use for landscaping. It has 25x,xxx miles and im already thinking of putting together an engine as a back up if this one goes down, I have to keep it going to make money. It will be a 12v 5.9 of coarse. I would like to build a very reliable, cool running, 350ish hp motor. Keep in mind the truck grosses 25-40k lbs daily. Need some advice on turbos, pump work, injectors, engine mods, etc.

250k is still new. Start considering a replacement when it nears the 500k mile factory rating.

Power and reliable are opposite goals. The engine is long lived at the stock 225hp, at 350hp with that kind of load it won't last nearly as long.
