Duramax = Isuzu = Ricer would be my guess.

LOLLOLLOL

You guys are funny . . . That is Matt Cooper setting a NADM record of pulling 503 feet in the rain! Yes its diesel, no we didnt have a choice of the sled but it wasnt bad, old but loaded with electronic measuring!

It was provided by NW Pullers out of PA and this was a benefit for the local Fire Department! Now Matt is a pretty big boy so I wouldnt call him names to his face or make fun of his truck:bow:

Yeah, it's been a few years seeing a sled like this but the cab is forward with the box in the back, but like I said they had the best electronic measuring we have seen in a couple of years. Somebody fixed it special!

The truck before him was Calvin Miller that pulled 453 feet!:rockwoot:

The rain added the extra lubricant - mud!

I kind of like the fact of the operators cab being in front of the box, 1 a little better view if something is going bad, 2 you know that weight box has been checked and it ain't coming off!

If you notice the only difficult item was the mud flying back on the windshield:hehe::hehe::hehe:

We had to hose it off during every run - but then again all he had to do was follow the truck:hehe:

Thats cool. I thought what was so special about this pull until he made the turn and kept going. LOL

I've pulled that sled. IMO it's one of the better one to hook to. It starts easy and doesn't hit real hard at the end.

Funny thing about that pull is at that track Mat's record isn't to good. The previous two years I don't thing he made it past 250.

Matt C is not the only one to have gone around the corner on Stonboros track I think Miller did it a couple of years ago with the dhra

I think that happens on loose horse sheet tracks like that the sled has a hard time stopping trucks due to rolling on marbles.

IKE

You are correct on both counts - the rain made it even bigger marbles, once Matt hit 4th gear the sled couldnt stop him - we did because he was getting close to the rails. 3 or 4 pulled past 400 that night. But earlier, before it rained most were under 285'.

Yeah, Matt has had a hard time with that track and didnt think much of it - he likes it now!

lol

.

It is a good sled, and YOU, Mech, are one of the reasons it was there, and not another company's!!
And then you dont even show!!!

Yes, the sled was hydroplaning, the rain was coming down harder, so we either were going to cancel,or hook whoever was in line. We hooked em. Matt was the lucky one.
Just enough rain to float the sled, but not enough to stop the truck from digging through to dry material.

Besides, the crowd LOVED IT.:rockwoot:

BTW, first time a Duramax has ever won any class other than WS at that track, at any pull.
Coop set all kinds of records that night.
