Extrude Hone and Flux?

x2 I love my E.H. best bang for the buck besides my smarty:rockwoot:

I also agree people think the Flux is the end all of injectors, which yes they are good, but there is owning wrong with the others. One thing Ive always wondered is if people like Reb Brown, Barber, or Mills have tried running massive stixs from DDP, II, or Wicked and seen what type of hp they'd make.
absolutely nothing is wrong with owning other brand injectors. i simply stated that Dons sticks have the record for highest hp CR in the country on FUEL and NITROUS. end of story.

I get that, Id just like to see some of the big boys use other peoples injectors to see were they rank among each other.

That is a good thing and something to be proud of but, it's only the end of the story because another company hasn't supply anyone like Don did to do a bunch of tuning and dyno runs. That custom tuning from Marco sure didn't help.... did it. I'm sure if someone were to do what was done at Reb's shop with other brands... the results could turn out the same.

another thing you have to ask your self is why are these big name players using Dons injectors;) or better yet, why arent they using brand X over dons.

what about the 1289hp on juice. that was done a few times and the times it was done was not at his shop. and the 1289 runs were not with the smarty, that came later down the road so all that custom tunning was done by Reb and Erick before Marco and Bob came down.

you said it best.

I'm sure if someone were to do what was done at Reb's shop with other brands.......

you act like Reb and Erick are the only people in the diesel world that actually dyno, tune, and test their trucks. if the other brand had some trucks that made record runs or close to them we would hear of it.

I thought Lenny Read's 06 did 926hp on fuel only with DDP's? That's pretty dang high up there if you ask me???????

well there ya go. yes his truck did that and thats not anywhere close to 1138 on fuel. nor is it comparible to barbers 1070 runs. not knocking DDP at all because they make some great stuff, but i just think Dons injectors are superior to anything else on the market and his injectors have the numbers to back that claim up.

926 fuel only with a 600 series is what is impressive. everyone making over 1000 is on a triple nickel motor(555). I'm not bias towards anyones stix but I want to see a big fuel # in a 600 series. With whoevers injectors

Chris this is very true. 600 motors are having more difficulty smacking 1000hp. Not sure if any have done this on good ol #2. 930 was my best and that was with Don's sticks

you do make a good point. no arguement there.

man, you're quite the :cheer: for Don. I don't even know of that many " big names " that even race their trucks.... probably a hand full. Why do they run Don's injectors ?? because they're all dealers for him.

Garmon has used EH and won over and over for years. I'd say he's a big name. TS has a Scheid built truck pushing 1500hp. The guys at DDP also do very well with their stuff.

I guess some are looking for a record to feel they've made it but, IMO.... what you can do at the track makes the difference and that takes more than injectors. I'm not knocking Don's stuff at all... only pointing out he's not the only game in town.

i guess i am a :cheer: for what ever works best for me. its been stated over and over again that dons injectors are the cadilac of injectors. not argueing with you about don being the only game in town. i guess i am more of a loyalty kind of guy. if i find something that works for me, i stick with it. if you build a relationship with a company because what they supply you works the way you want it to, then why change? same with Browns diesel. they have always treated me right and are very dear friends of mine. you wont see me taking my truck to another shop because i want to see if the other shop can make my truck that much faster or have that much more power. point is, you cant go wrong with either choice of injector, programmer , or what ever it is. you buy what you want because you either have a relationship with that person or company.

I'm sure you'll be one of the first to hit the number once programming is available.

The only place I've seen them is on the dyno. :what:

Reb has, but has anybody else? Mills, Barber, ect.?

oh i got cha . sorry about that i read it wrong. ericks truck runs 10s. my truck should run low 9s . Mills has a 6 speed so he is pretty much out of the racing scene, not sure about barber. i will be taking my truck out to the track at the J & H Diesel rally in june to make its debute. not sure about others.

don't have anything to say about the brand. I've owned DDP's and I've owned Flux. Both performed well.

Flux's were noticably smoother at idle.

As for the injector size with the A5K. I did 687 with flux 2's (possibly flux 2.4) not exactly sure what don sent me. The charger cleaned them up easily. I'd think 3.3's would work all day long, as the 2-2.4's are a little small.

I ran the injectors I have now with a silver bullet (66), and they were about a perfect match.

my truck has made over 800 hp with Etrude hone injectors and a aurora 5000 on a superflow dyno
