That's awesome! You ran across one already narrowed? Center diff, equal length inner short shafts?

I have heard that to about many FDS fronts and the reason I built my own front end... 2" from the locker right out to the driver plates! My fds has 1 3/4" inners but 1 1/2" outers
Has Tod given you an aprox weight of the entire rear assembly? Was always curious how close I got mine to what he buildsThat's not a bad idea. As soon as my semi-floating setup for the sqhd gets here I will post some pics of that too.

Mine without oil but fully loaded with 2" shafts and billet mini spool is just over 425lbs. It may be a bit heavier now since I welded the brackets on as I chose to make it a bolt in instead of welding! Mine is a hybrid semi/full floater though and will be waiting to try it out before I recommend anyone go that direction with their rear end!No he hasn't. But when I'm done building mine I will post a weight of it with pics. Trying to get some good solid weights documented on this build thread.

All new front end. 47 spline Ouverson Violator shafts. Its a sheet metal f106/custom Dana Industrial front end with rockwell joints (larger than a 1550)Who's axles did you use? Did you build it with Military outters or was this your Dana 80 hybrid?
See and I choose my setup for the exact opposite reason. I personally like a 100% solid 4340 forged yoke/shaft. Same reason for billet 300m joints...basically in all situations I have seen yokes or joints break they usually wipe out everything.I looked at ouverson stuff. But I like the idea of having the yoke and the shaft be two separate pieces and use a spline. plus if you break a piece you only replace the broken part and not the whole shaft. also, I would rather have a bolt on wing flange style joint.

Basically no pullers have because their stuff doesn't have the normal 32 spline scs stuff! Randy was more than willing to do anything I wanted and 100% customI talked with another PPL pro-mod puller that has been running the same setup (splined style) for about 13 years with zero failures. That was also a deciding factory in my choice. Until that point, I was also looking at the Ouverson stuff. Just didn't know anybody running it at that time.
