I have a 97 Dodge Ram 3500 4wd with a nv4500 1 3/8 input and southbend dd3250 clutch. It has 186000 miles on it. I find it rare that it has the original leather Yes Leather not vinyl as it is a Laramie and power seats. it is going with a 58 Lincoln SAE300 welder that has a Continental f244 on a aluminum Cadet flatbed.

my question .... is it a fair trade on a 08 Dodge Ram 3500 SLT Quad Cab 6.7 68rfe automatic, Bully Dog GT, EGR Delete, DPF Delete. but has its own issue... codes for I believe to be a Fuel Control actuator... has a set of Pensacola Diesel Injectors with Fuel Caliberation codes not done, Pensacola CP3 Pump and codes of P0088 Fuel Rail Pressure Too High (FCA?), P0405 EGR Sensor Circuit A Low, P0513 Incorrect Key, P2509 ECM Power Input Intermittant (Fender Ground?), P0219 Engine Over Speed, P268D Cyl 2 Calibration Code, P1012 Fuel Pump Delivery Pressure High (FCA?) P2690 cyl 5 Calibration Code

Is this a fair trade? Are my theories correct? Truck Smokes White worse than my 12v black. Or Stay away?

All those fuel codes can meltdown a 6.7 I would run away.

Those garbage injectors are going to cost you at least $3,000 or so to get lined out. Who knows what other fun surprises you'll find.

No way I'd trade a solid welding rig for a basket case 3rd gen

Calmly walk away from that mess...way better deals to be had out there

Well, the 08 would roughly be worth $20k+ or so. A 97, around here anyway, is worth roughly $7k. Machine worth roughly $5k for a total of about12k. Now, as long as there is no damage done to the cylinders on the 08 yet , a complete fuel system, lift pump, CP3, injectors can be had easily for $6k. $26k minus $12k equals $14k... do you think you can fix the electrical issues for under $14k ? I think so.

Of course, would run a borescope down the cylinders before any trading.
