what are you guys running and why did you choose that material?

Ceramic pads are about a $1.00 and feramic is about $4.00 a pad it adds up so I choose ceramic pads they are cheaper and they hold up

what's on your brain, house?

smoked the clutch tonight.......woops! Kinda weird though. No clutch smoke. Came out of the hole just like every other time. Sounded good, looked good too. Just didnt buuild up any gound speed......

Peter was saying the feramic was 10 bucks a pop. 10 each times 48....it adds up! But Im going with Feramic Iron Gaint....we shall see how it holds up!

I can get the same material that peter uses feramic for $4.00 a pad. South bend charges $600 to rebuild my clutch the first time the second time it cost me less than $200 at my local clutch shop I only had to have a it rebuilt cause I did about 15 take offs in 4th 5th and 6th gear just to see if it would do it and it will but it was fun while it lasted my local clutch shop cuts me a deal for all the bussiness I send him so he even showed me what he pays for it and its around a $1.00. For cermaic and $4.00 for fermaic

I have the SFI Iron Giant in my puller. Only 1 hook thus far. I like it. NO SLIPPY....

Cintered Iron Dics.....

x2 on the sintered iron disc. Mine are crower disc i believe. 4200 lb pp without the bronze inlay. We went this route for it being able to take some abuse. Peter told me that the feramic is too hard and you half to have the bronz inlay to get it to hook up right. Of course until i get the freeze plug situation ironed out i have no hooks on my clutch or videos to show. But if i want to slip it out 75 ft or so, it should be able to take it. One downside is if for some reason you had to make a back to back run or even a very close one, it might not hook up as well until it cools down. My clutch is from Powerparts Engineering

darn..... that sucks.... sintered iron is definitely a more traditional sled pulling friction material...

got it out, going to sbc in the AM ! Peter said he has some special discs for me to use!

here's the old clutch
