fermaic or cermaic clutch

Just to stir the rumor pot here a little. I was told he found out about the sintered iron disc the Terry from powerparts was using and that he called and ordered 200 sets of iron disc to build a "new clutch"

it was a manufacture defect in the hubs, but SBC steped up a notch 4200 PP and full feramic disc's

House, if you are going to continue to pull that truck you need to get a clutch with sintered iron disks. That is the only thing that holds up to the abuse, there's a reason why every gas truck runs them and most tractor guys also.

thats what I never understood is why it has taken the diesel world so long to go to the sintered iron discs as well?

Never heard of the haisley street puller or their comp puller clutches? They've been around a long time and they use sintered iron. I should run one of their clutches as much as I stand up for them

good point man I checked the comp. puller out and they look to be the same. I just have a gasser takes me a little while! :)

i am new to the forems but am looking into a buying a pulling clutch. i checked out haisley, south bend and valiare. sb and valiare are pretty much duplicates of each other. I called Haisley's and they have been building pulling clutches using sintered iron for over 10 years. I wanted to buy a clutch from the guys that use them themselves. Van and Ed West started using the iron discs in 1997 and their clutch program has progressed from there. i'm going with a haisley. does anybody know what all the mod trucks run? i have been told that every mod truck runs only sintered iron discs. most all run haisley's 4 disc.
