filling block on a cummins 3.0 class go? or no go?

Some folks fill the bottom thinking it will help stabilize the block around the bottom. The other reason is you could do a half fill and still have the water circulate throgh part of the block and head.

Most half or partial fills are on the bottom of the block to allow for water and/or coolant to pull some heat out of the cylinder/head. It's not ideal but it does help give the cylinder wall more support than if it wasn't filled and supposedly helps keep the bottom end (mains) more stable.
