Fuel cell 2.8 class ???

Some rules say you can't run a fuel cell in the 2.8 class. What's the deffinition of a fuel cell? I have a 25gal auxiliary tank that I made out of 304ss last year ,but never installed because at $4gal it would of cost $280 to fill my truck plus the plumbing!

Now my sending unit in my stock tank just crapped out and my draw tube leaks if I fill it to far! So can I just plumb my lines to my tank and remove the stocker or would that get me boot from the 2.8class? It's not like I'm gonna put a 2-3gal cell up front to move weight around! What do you guys think?

Anything other than stock location, would be considerd a fuel cell.

I dont see why not but you might want to call the organazation you pull with and ask them, just to be on the safe side.
