fuel press to vp44

I have been running for the past year a stock in tank lift pump and its running 10psi @ idle and 0psi at WOT LOL.

Side note I do have a pump but not sure how to run it with the in tank. Is it possible to run them together???

Could person install a stiffer spring into a FASS if pressure has gone down over time and get 20+ out of it or is it only made to produce so much pressure?

You can install a diff spring to get the psi You want, I have mine set to idle at 16-17 wot 13, alot of guys say that 25 is the max you want to see, but obviously waht the last few guys said, they kinda proved that wrong

Iv'e been questioning this for a while

AirDog 150, 20-21PSI at idle and 16-17PSI at WOT.

Not too much done to the truck, but thats my setup and pressures.

kinda new at this always had fords but i got a 00 2500 150 fass II vp44 just put on last week what should my psi be at

u can run anything u want as long as its not lower than 7 psi thats what the pump needs to stay cool! on the other hand the vp will only alow 14 psi to pass it has an built in bypass. so if u run high press you are ok but there is really no reason to go above 25psi as long as at WOT u dont drop lower than 7 u should be ok and i say 7psi as a max low you r pushhin your luck at that point!! hope that helps ya

OK a strayed off question but what gauges are you using to monitor fuel pressure? Would you trust a Edge Attitude on a VP truck?

Electric Isspro right at the inlet to the VP.

The Edge pulls info from the data link IIRC. I'd rather take my pressure reading from right near the pump as opposed to the computer. $.02

I have a guy using the Edge Attitude to monitor his pressure. He is one Fuel Pump number 3. because of the low fuel pressure at idle (5-6 psi and 0-1 @ WOT). He is putting a Raptor 100 Pump on this week.

edge has an electric sender. so yes its trustworthy.

as far as the pressure, ive always been told too much will damage the diaphragm.

i think your thinking of fuel temp, theres no lift pump pressure sender in a vp

Nah it was the oil pressure. I went back through and red the instructions and jogged my memory.

Sorry for the derail/incorrect info. Brain fart.

So then the general consensus is that the Attitude is reliable for measuring fuel pressure?
