heres another one we drained the oil fished the metal out and he drove it for a week them we put a tranny in it:Cheer::Cheer:

we had to get a magnet and get most all of it out still rattled some but drove fine

What kinda Hp you makin? That scares me, mine rattles bad, but have been thinking if mine takes a dump, i'm stickin a NV5600 in it!

I just ordered a NV5600, external dimensions were too far off ot make a 4500 swap feasible.

Cost me over a hundred bucks to send my clutch to southbend for "retro fitting" to the new trans and a bit of upgrade while its there.

When i drained hte fluid it was ugly, huge chunks of ****... the input shaft also has a TON of play, as in its broken somewhere of the end bearing it rides in on the other side is wasted

That noise brings back terrible memories. At least you sourced a better replacement. I just decided to get up and running, then do an auto swap later. No more racing or sled pulling until then.
