Hey guys I've been running my Borg s467 for a while now and it spools great and is a good turbo but it dont clean up like i feel it should and am thinking of moving on to a garrett bb turbo. Problem is I know nothing about Garrett and how to match turbo to truck . I'm wanting to go a little larger than I'm currently running . Anyone have any advise . Or could they break down Garrett's turbo specs for me . I'm sure someone will give me grief or call me lazy for this but I have tried to read up as much as I can. On Borg turbos its pretty straight forward. Like my turbo is a s467.7 83 90 .

Got to turbobygarrett.com. They have specs on all their turbos there.

Just remember garret lists exducer of the turbine and not the inducer like borg. So a garret 77 is 68/77, and on a borg 74 is a 74/83. That is a huge difference if you do not know what you are looking at. I would look at a 4294 for a 6.7 check out the specs for yourself. The GTX version should flow more and make your wallet hurt more as well. What are you running for tuning? I have trouble cleaning mine up as well on a s400, but I think it is due to tuning.

Here is some turbo porn for ya..
GTX4294R polished and coated, i just sold it a couple weeks ago. Its a 70.3mm that flows comparable to a S475 with quicker spool.

Huh that turbo seems familiar? Got a steed for it after not paying attention and grabbing a 12v manifold by mistake. Still need some of the little stuff but won't be till sept. till I get it on and see how it acts. There's a guy with a s472 on stock fuel somewhere so I'm interested to see how this will be. I'm holding off on fuel to see what might be too much or too little. Trying to do my reseach wisely usually I jump into stuff too fast. Needless to say... Subsribed
