So im undecided on what gears i should put in my truck.... 03 F250 6.0l stock 3.73s / Edge tuner, set on level 5 / Straight piped /

Have tons of power with running 37" tires / Switching to 40x13.50x18 ATZs this week..... What gears should I go with? I just want a good balance of power and MPG.... Suggestions anyone else running 40's?

I have 4.56's and 41's...and I think it's perfect.

I also tow a 18' enclosed trailer, and I have no issues.

THANKS for the input tank.... Yeah im thinking 4:56 or 4:30s

Anybody running 4:30s with 40" tires?

I think 4.30's would put too much strain on your tranny...I don't recommend it.

4.56's would be the way to go. I am running them with my 38's and think they are just about right. I say just about right cause they are a little to low of a gear for them, my RPMS are fairly high while running down the highway.

4.30s Those combined with the lower gear ratio's in the torqushift in the bottom end lets you go further per gear change.

I ran 4.88 and 39.5 boggers that was to low.
Had 4.11 and 38.5 tsls it was just right. I think I would
go with the 4.30s. But that was with a 6speed 7.3.
