Genius Mechanic needed!

I got a new overflow valve a little bit ago from Tork Tek .20 I think its called and its set stock for 22-23 psi

Loosen off the jam nut on the Tork tek overflow v/v and adjust the pressure to 30 psi at idle like has been suggested.

If its set at 22-23psi then it was set for a vp truck. You dont have enough fuel pressure!

Couple questions for you if you dont mind the first one is what should I turn my fuel preassure up to? around 25? and whats a vp truck? The last thing is where should i get a fule preassure guage from my isspro is reading really weird like bouncing between 5-10 psi.

30 psi at idle, like you were told earlier. Or whatever you want, we don't really care

VP truck = truck with a VP injection pump. 24v

Any pressure gauge will work. Vato Zone carries them.

Put a needle valve on yours and barely crack it to stop the jumping.

What is fuel pressure at WOT under load ? 550hp can be had on like 7-10psi 2 WOT I did it. It picked up like 10hp with 28psi though.

Alright thank you I appreciate your help ill go try that.

I am located in Eagle River , Alaska but my truck is in Wasilla . Ive taken in to smiths diesel, diesel doctor , je auto electronics (John Enreques) and I talked to jeff at advanced diesel a while ago and he thought i have a 24 valve so I was hesitant.

Is it possible that I could have bad injectors? I went tested my fuel pressure got it about 30 like everyones telling me why is it hazing so bad though? From the very beginning I pulled my stockers and had them tested and they were bad when I put my new sdx's in I started to have problems? Not to make matters worse they told me a week before they sent me my injectors they got a shipment of bad nozzles?

Bad nozzles would fail later, not on initial start up. Have you checked to see if your fuel shut off solenoid is moving fully?

Yes I have I replaced that and got new batteries to make sure it had enough juice to hold it up
