Well spent most of the day yesterday fabbing the roll pan mounts and hitch stuff up, its gonna look sweet when its painted.

the hitch still sits out a little farther than I wanted, but without fabbing my own receiver or cutting up stuff that I think will weaken the overall design, i decided to deal with it and let it sit out an inch from the pan. only thing left is to mount the pan on one more time, and cut the holes out for the sled bumpers to stick through.

The mounts i made to support the bottom of the pan...one on each side it is solid. just some 1.5" flat bar with a twist in it.

Brandon...did you get DS loops fabbed up yet...if not I took a bunch of pics of mine last night if you want them. Send me your email again and I'll shoot them over.

Pretty sweet! I was gonna order an aftermarket one and then tuck my hitch under it. Any pro's or con's? Just figured for $100, it would be quicker with an aftermarket.

for the record, when i said fabbed up, i meant mounted, brackets made, clearanced for the hitch etc...that is an aftermarket roll pan that cost me $120.

steel, got it on ebay from a company in california called fender bender inc...they do show trucks, mini trucks, etc

Why don't you move the hitch farther forward on the frame.

Kind of like this-

When you take the receiver out the license plate covers up the hole on the roll pan.

it requires drilling 8 new holes in the frame, alot of cutting on the original hitch etc, and my license plate wont fit with the hitch, which means it has to come off at every pull. i just dont want to all the right now, plus on rare occasion i still pull my 4 wheeler trailer with this truck, and I've already moved it forward 4" to the other holes already drilled in the frame from the factory...moving it anymore would be a pain when pulling a trailer.

They make hinges for the plate!!

did some more fitting, trimming and aligning and got it pretty close now...but my tailgate just barely rubs the top of the pan when i put it down.

anyway i primered it and stuck it on the truck for a few days to see if it moves or flexes any, next weekend ill do a skim coat of filler and get ready to paint it

My roll pan is on the way I hope since I am running an air gate I won't have to do much fine tuning.

Nope had my buddy's father spray it at his body shop, cost me a whopping $42 in paint supplies to have it done!
