glowshift gauges good or bad

I hear things in the import world of them not being accurate, I'm still going to install one in my DD to watch oil pressure.

Its the only gauge made that matches OE Acura gauges.

DDually, changing colors can be a bad thing. My buddy has em an we set his to light blue an pink before puttin on the dyno. Dyno operator got a good laugh out of it.

We've installed a few sets.

Here is a metaphor for a comparison between them and Isspro, Dipricol, Autometer.

Isspro is like Charmin ultra soft 2 ply, Glowshift is like Dollar Store Single ply... it gets the job done but is not near as nice or reliable.

I've got one of their fuel pressure gauges. No problems so far. Has had a rough life in a big truck.

Only thing is, the sender needs a ground wire to the engine. Doesn't ground through the fitting where it screws in.

I would put Dipricol on a nice solid 2 ply level. Autometer is chain store brand 2 ply..... they have been scrimping on the thickness of there sheets lately. We have had alot of failures it seems like in the last 4 months. Before though we had no problems with them.

Just like I said. There are 2 terminals on the sender. Have to run a wire from the ground post to the engine. Doesn't ground through the threads. Just read the directions if you get one. Easy to figure out.

i had boost, egt, and trans and worked great for me. only downside was around 2 psi the gauge would make a sound like theres something loose inside it. other than that it worked great. worth the 200 bucks in my opinion. not the best but worth the money.
