I want to not have any more puking issues from EGR related items. When I put in my new turbo back exhaust what can I do to help prevent EGR issues in the future while the truck is apart?

Im pretty sure Innovative disables the EGR in all of their Xtreme tunes so the next step is blocking the up pipe by welding in some sort of plug or threading in a pipe plug.If you want to go even further, you can remove the entire EGR assembly.

You are right Pete, as a matter of fact I think that any tuner can disable the EGR right???

That is correct than can turn the EGR off, But that still doesnt do much for the fact that the coolant lines runs inside the cooler before the EGR sensor too. So the best way is to cap it with the end that you need to cut off of the up pipe, and weld a cover on the up pipe with a different piece. I did mine and i have had no more coolant puking problems.

This is awesome to read. I've been wondering about how to do this.

Look in my "Money Pit" gallery for pics of the welded pipe....it'll show you exactly what needs to be done.
