going twins what brand manifold to buy?

other thing you might look at if you are going to port it is to have it ceramic coated on the inside to keep the heat in the exhaust and not the manifold its self.

Like forrest said, go PDI. We've used ATS on several trucks and all but one has cracked somewhere. PDI have no issues with that so thus far.

htt also has a couple of stainless manifolds... dont know how they perform but they are offered in t3 and t4... if i had the cash i would run that direction

Lol to the average joe they seem to look good, just not to a professional pipefitter such as yourself.

I wish I could weld like some of the pipefitters do!

Its all about the hood time. Practice, Practice, Practice!

You have to remember, I do it for 8+ hours a day, EVERYDAY!! It gets boring for me.

ok i compared the ats and pdi manifolds yesterday t4
the ats was black coated and had bigger openings at the turbo ports however the ports about 1"deep have some casting burs gonna trim them up

the pdi was a plain steel finish and ports was smaller at the turbo mounting holes but the castin burs have been ground out

so for a $50 difference from my guy i bought a ats

interesting... my PDI is black and my ATS is raw... the PDI has larger ports than the ATS. these are both T4 manifolds

I bought the pdi manifold because it was cheaper than the ats and it has worked well for me. I know of a couple other guys around here that had them also and never said they had issues with them. mine was black also when I got it new

I guess the price matters when all the cast iron ex manifolds crack. About two months is what you get out of one if your a puller . How much did you pick up at the back tires when you ported your pdi? And how much faster did it crack? Iv seen them crack faster after you port them (ats/pdi/htt) .
