Good all around programmer?

hey guys i got a 1998.5 24v and im lookin for a all around good programmer.I want something that adds some horses and will blow some smoke but not so much horsepower that i have to worry bout f*** my tranny up.I got a good solid clutch so i aint worried bout slippin it.And i already got a raptor lift pump and a set of guages.

Hows the hypertech max energy programmer?

There are no VP44 programmers that add more than 60 hp. If you want more you'll need a fuel box.
 
If you want smoke and are scared of power this is the wrong site for you...

That is what I run with many other upgrades. Runs around 450hp combined with other things. $.02
 
Well i put on a superchip today and it gave me more than i expected.It has alot more power and smokes pretty good.
 
Can you think of an easier target Jory?

Best all around... edge juice w/ att hands down. Hypertech will be a waste of money for you.
 
For all you guys that made all the little smartass comments earlier in the thread bout the superchips sorry i dont have 800 bucks to spend on a programmer right now!I know the superchip aint agressive and there are plenty of better ones out there but it gives me the power i want for now.
 
You missed the point...

You bought a truck, you come here asking for advise on a programmer that allows your truck to smoke.


And since you brought up money, how the hell are you going to afford fixing this thing when it breaks?

$800 is a drop in the well.
