My buddy need a 2004.5 CR rebuilt, needs pistons and will probably need about 2 sleeves. Having troubles finding someone to do it, or at least they are wanting way to much to do it. He just wants whoever does it to stand behind it, to be done right and be a reliable truck.
 
Not exactly Akron, but in Wapakoneta there is a very, very good hole in the wall machine shop called Kalvinator Racing Engines. They love doing all the oddball stuff I bring them. Every time I'm in there they have at least a couple big tractor puller heads or blocks being worked on next to the 700+hp alky small block dirt motors. Center Automotive on E South st. is one of the best diesel machine shops around. They've done all our machine work for 20+ years. Not sure how much assembly they do, we put our own together.
