Gooseneck or bumper pull trailer

Check out Appalachian when you are ready. I bought my 20+5 gn 12k gvw new with all the options (dual jack, tool box, flip up ramps, spare tire, etc) for $5,600 out the door. Its not a corn pro, but It hasn't given me any problems. I know of a few farmers that sware by them. Just throwing it out there.
 
6,000 lbs is little for a diesel, LOL. Is your truck 4x4? Mine is 2wd, so I pull up til the slicks touch the fenders, and it works out great.
