Govenor Setups (P-Pumps)

they say it's a P7100 and it does have a RSV governor on it but they screw is like you said but it is more towards the top. and it comes with a adjustment chart5 for fuel so many turns equals so much fuel.

and as far as the gear goes , it is an option on there 800cc pumps but they do claim it is a must have on there 1000cc pumps ( this is a Mod truck pump)

hmmm...guess I'll retract part of my statement and now continue reading :Cheer:

Sorry I was thinking RQV talking about the adjustable fuel plate.

most everyone out there has an external fuel adjustment for the RSV's

Rod dose you pump have a flat bottom on it or can you feel freeze plugs?

I Know Everything
I have heard that you need the keyed to the shaft hub with the adjustable gear so it will not slip timing at high RPMs?

Are you saying a standard gear will not slip?

Whats everyones take on upgrading the cam shaft (engine) above a scheids pulling cam to deal with the harder turning pump?

IMHO It seems to me that you can have a pretty sweet 3000 series pump built with 13mm b's & p's and all the goodies for half of a P7100. But that pump will more than likely never be able to be driven on the street. I have seen alot of tractor pulling guys that went to trucks and this is what they seem to use over the P7100.

they cab be built the same expt, the 3000 will take 13.5 degrees to recover and the 7100 will only take 12 degrees so not a whole lot of diff aney input Thanks
