That sounds like money! grinder it is! I have a press! Any short cuts, tips, timing secrets i should know? A Sorry Buzz on right now life is good!
 
I ain't got no secretes or tips, just don't screw it up, lol. I passed on a deal on a 181/210 last year because of the lobe.
 
small plug in stove top, electric burner, stand cam up on heater till its hot, gear will just about fall off, you don't want to heat it so hot that you take the hardness out of it. watch how much time it takes to heat old one till you can get it off, heat the good one off stock cam, put it back on the heat for a couple minutes to get it hot again, and slip it over new cam. make sure you mark teeth on gears before removing stock cam. recommend marking teeth on either side of one marked tooth on cam gear. Run ZDDP plus additive, 3k miles per oil change for the rest of its life, get springs to follow the lobes better during higher boost.
 
I ground the lobe off the cam I put in my pulling truck. Made it a few seasons no problems. Only have to grind off like 1/8" on both sides of the highest part of the lobe.
 
Didn't know I had gold sitting in my old engine. Guess ill have to hurry up and yank that thing out and put it for sale.
 
That cam is highly sought after! I've been buying parts over the last 2 years just waiting for this situation! Now I have springs, rods and finally the cam! Can't wait!

It is, but I still need to pull it out and I won't let it go until I decide on a replacement. I will let you know if and when I sell it though.
