has anyone actually built a p pump themselves???

I would say it comes down to the liability issue which i dont agree with, but you know someone would take a junk pump in and when it crapped out, blame the shop and want them to fix it for free. On the other hand, my shop will do it for me but i have been dealing with them for 14 years now and paid more than one rent payment for them. LOL Tim

I do not speak for all shops but every situation is different. If you have a good relationship with them and they know your truck and what you have did to it they probably would just hook it up and squeeze some more out of it. We would probably do the same in THIS situation.
