Well as much as I hate to get rid of my drag truck, I would like to take on a project or hobby so I can spend more time with the family. I had the truck out once this year, and ZERO times last year and it's time to move on.

Let's start out on what it is.. Well it may look like a Dodge "NAS Truck" but it is actually based on a G body car, and was originally built as a dirt track truck. The body is a combination of ABS plastic front and rear bumpers, aluminum skin, and fiberglass top. Last time it was scaled it was right at 3,200 with me in it I believe. The motor is a 197.XXX mile truck motor with head studs, and a very mild gasket match on the exhaust. The Pump is a 215 that was built by a local shop with a 5k gov kit, and has stock DVs. The injectors are 5x18s that were just gone through by SDX but are not theirs, and also have one pass on them. The single turbo is a S400 base, and I believe it is a 66/74 and was built by John at Majestic Turbo in TX and also has one pass. (I can get all the turbo build info). It is backed by a TH400 tranny, and a GV overdrive. The tranny has a billet input and drum, ArtCarr TC, and a Hughes manual valve body with trans brake. The rear end is a full floater 9in with full spool, 35 spline axles, and a 3.42 pro gear in a Strange carrier. I have been leaving the line between 40 and 55 psi boosted launches, and leaves strait and level every time. I have had trouble with the trans since I started, but not because it is a th400 but because I have only fixed what has broke and not "built" the tranny. . The truck is still in the white primer that all the panels were shipped with, and other than mounting the hood, and a little body work its ready to be wrapped or painted with your logo or design. There is WAY more left in the truck for someone who has the time and money to spend on it. I have had a blast with the truck, but going out and making two or three passes, and then not taking it out again for a month or two, or a year makes for a LOOOOONG tuning process! I should have the transmission back from my builder this week, and I am going to try and take it out this weekend for some passes so I can post up to date pictures, video, and stats. The quickest the truck has been is 10.10@131 with the small pump and small turbo, and I really, really hope that with the new FASS that was just installed, and everything being gone through I can do better if the tranny will just stay together!

OK, down to brass tax...

If it was sold outright I am looking at $18,500 OBO
Or I might be interested in trading for a very nice pontoon boat, or some sort of pleasure/tuna boat. (only interested in tuna boat if it comes with necessary equipment to make fish tacos :blahblah1:)

Or trade for..????? Clean Dodge diesel? I have extra tranny, 12v, pump, and misc parts that can go with the truck also if the price is right. Also might be interested in selling it as a roller so that I can keep my motor, tranny, and OD for another project in the future.

I have some misc videos on YouTube under toolmanoffroad, and I will see about posting some more pictures as I can. Send PM or post up questions here... Thanks guys!:Cheer:

I guess you can add metal fab equipment to that trade list.. Just bought a large shear, and brake, but im always up for tools!

I also forgot I have a couple nitrous bottles, hold down, lines, noids, and a meth kit that goes with it also. Im sure I am forgetting other parts and will add with I think of it... Dam ADD!

The chassis and tin work is powder coated white except for a few places that had brackets/tabs welded on. Also there are weight jacks built into each corner of the chassis. Just turn the threaded rod with a 1/2in drive ratchet to put more or less pressure on the springs. :Cheer:

I saw in one of the vids it dynod under 500hp? thats incredible! Do you know how much it weighs?

I see that now. Hard paragraph to read LOL

Free bump for an awesome truck!

I knew somebody was gonna give me crap about that.. He He.. My writing is bad enough without it being 2:00 in the morning and half asleep.

And I have had several hit me up on it as a roller.. I really haven't decided on a price, but I am open to take offers. Somebody could have a dam quick truck just by swapin in there motor and tranny.. :poke:

I did call the tranny builder this morning and I am waiting on a call back. I should be able to have it at TNT this Friday though for current pics, video, and ET. :Cheer:

LOL,, i have been good,, long time no talk... How the hell have you been? Feel good now?

Is the roll cage in that thing certified?

No, I added the bell housing shield and blanket, and was planning on taking it to get done after I finally made it into the 9s. But that has never happened... There is a chit load of cage in this thing though. Four door bars on both sides, and more X braces and diagonals than any normal drag car. It was made to be sitting sideways and get T boned on a circle track! Don't see having any problem getting a cert..

LOL... I bet. I will let you know,, I am probably going to be too short of cash for this,, but man it sure would be cool.... Somebody should buy this,, if they dont they are passing up a good deal

Its not like I have to sell the truck, so if the right deal/person takes a while it taint no thing.. Bad thing is I can already see 1 to 2 weeks after its sold somebody posting up how easy it was to go 8.XX and pics of it dragging the rear bumper off :evil I will then post up pics of me kicking my own ass! :hehe:

a 1000+hp 12V would be awesome in that little truck.....i just happen to have the engine and trans for it sitting in our shop

Man I guarantee in one afternoon somebody that knows how to tune could have it in the mid 9s easy as is... :poke: It was almost in the 9s with a phat shaft 64 and a bone stock 175 pump. Thats when it went its fastest. :bang Maybe instead of selling it I should have just paid someone to tune it.... yes that hurts to say.

I just cant even imagine how it would run with my new eninge in there... LOL,, probably would have a hell of a time setting up the suspension for that much HP

Man you gotta think that there are tons of G body cars out there... Nasty nasty big blocks with big ol shots of nitrous. They hook and book just fine and have a well proven suspension and setup. The 12valve might be a little heavier but I also have it pushed back farther than normal, and my chassis is not gonna twist and flex like several trucks with minimal cage I have seen. I would add a back brace to the 9in, and run some heavier 4 link bars and make sure the laundry is clean and packed. :Cheer:

I called the tranny builder today and left another message with his wife... Did not get a call back once again. I am trying to get it back for TNT this Friday so I can line up against a certain ranger that was once "Deranged" and get a current time. I will be picking up the tranny tomorrow afternoon either together, or in pieces in a box. Wish me luck....

Just saw this, hate to see you sell it but understand. I also remember that race in the picture above; 6.41 to a 7 flat If memory serves me right:shake: 3200# vers 4600# we should have put my engine in that thing and made a few passes:stab: Lol. Good luck on the sell, this would make someone a fun little race car.

Hey now........

That twist was on purpose. What I didnt know was I broke the welds in the center section that hold the axle tube in on just the pass. side; opps. That was letting it twist 3 x's more and get dangerous quick. Luckily one of Bean's chassis guys found it when he could'nt find nothing wrong with the chassis, it's back running true down the track again now thank goodness.

Again good luck on the sell.
