Head bolt retorque vs new bolts vs arp 425s

Stock bolts, cleaned and lubed with arp. Take them to 135ftlbs if they dont feel soft before that. Held 675hp with an o-ringed head in my truck. I would never pull a good sealing gasket off until it let go(unless going back in with o-rings), just my opinion though.

New gasket, deck it and then studs. Just the way I do things.

x2....ARP's are always on backorder for a reason. Decking the head is always something I'll recommend too. Mine h/g on my 95 blew after a while after just replacing the bolts, and I found the head was way outta whack.

I ordered some bolts from Snedge, going to do one at time with arp lube, torque to spec and then take them up from there.

Good deal. It should work great. Always let your truck get up to temp before hammering down on it.
