Just wondering what the torque spec is on a 1990 B series cummins enigen with the rotary pump,, Just looking fot the head bolt torque specs, Thanks Jeremy
Factory uses torque-angle methods, but most people just wrench em down to 125 lb ft. Torque em to about 90 lb-ft and then mark em. Go c.5-10 lb-ft at a time. If a few turn way further than the others, replace them with another bolt.
Great advice, this is the same practice in the aircraft industry. Especially where you bring the torque up 10lbs at a time, and check for consistant number of turn angles on each bolt... Replace any bolt that appears to stretch...
