Well I hate to say it, but I think my headgaket may be letting go. If I get on it, I find coolant all over my whole passenger side and it appears to be coming from the radiator cap, this would make me think that the head is lifting. I have a coolant bypass dumping in right over the thermostat. So when I get on it, the coolant temp jumps up to about 220-240 and then comes back down to running temp in just a few minutes.
Is this temp spike just from the coolant bypass allowing the hot coolant from the back of the engine to dump right onto the ECT sensor, or is this from the gasket allowing the hot compression/exhaust to go into my coolant?
