What parts are a must to get coated for high heat treatment on a high HP enigne?

Which parts are generally the most important to coat for race applications?

Depends on how far ya want to go.... Piston tops, piston skirts, the underside of the pistons, rods, bearing surfaces, manifold, ports of cyl. head ect ect ect ect ect That's about 5 different coatings......
