What a deal swap a proven cam for a unproven re-grind. Come on you just really want my H2 that it, Fess up.

You send me one of them diesel pro cams and I'll send you a perfectly good factory cam. I'll even pay shipping on both. :D

The Diesel Pro's cam that Fletcher has been building has been used 2 years before Don M even started building cams and rocketed Bill's 5400# truck into the high 9's, but we already have a few broken and whole Helix cams, HEY how about we take pictures of how nice and thick that shaft is on that cam :hehe: lol that alone will validate the proof or your H2, hey Don M didnt mold that after his own Johnson did he???? GOT PENCIL?????? :hehe::hehe::hehe:

Ty if you want send us your cam and we will help you out and get fletcher to help you and get you over that magic number u have been wanting!

It's too bad we can't get a Fletchcam to dyno back-to-back... I guess the world will never know why one's better than the other?

Hmmmm, doesn't sound like an F1 cam to me...... I have seen the small diameter cams and the ones I have come across came from EE. I have installed numerous F1 cams all with superior results and none of them have broken. Obviously you don't know what you are talking about in regards to the F1 cam design. :bang

This is the one thing that is keeping me from P-Pumping my truck. I am a little leary about busting the Cam.

Do you have a bolt on cam? I was told not to worry about it with my H2 other than with high RPM, high rack travel pumps, and coming off of the pump too hard at the end of a run.

Basically, take it easy getting on and off the fuel, and have fun:D

Chris

Yes, I have the bolt on gear...but with a manual tranny...and the fact I want to spin it a little harder than the VP44 will allow...the possibility does exist.

You know, it's one thing to be a competitor... it's another thing when you're just being a prrrrrrrICK. :) Learn the difference.

Installed Helix 2 in my truck over the weekend, what a difference it made. Smoother idle, engine is noticeably quieter at idle, stronger bottom end power, turbo spool up is much faster, less low rpm smoke, have not checked cruise egts yet but I suspect that they will be lower also. Cam has done everthing it was advertised to do, I love it. Thank you Tim at TRE Diesel Performance, and thank you Don M for such a good product.

Glad to see you got it in and everything works as it should..

I was happy with the Diesel Pro's camshaft I installed, however I was restricted by time to ever dyno before and after hp results for any. The Max Spool was dynoed the same day as installation, but a fueling issue led to the results not being useful.
You have an extra one Weston? For some reason Fletcher won't send me one to test...

Oh it is good times breaking one, you should try it!

Jim

Yea its alot of fun jim lol, Wow everyone is all worked up on this, come on you guys need to calm down its all in fun, the cam i first installed from Don M broke with my 13mm pump and around 5400 rpm's second one was put in and didnt break but after Fletcher decided to grace us with his secrets that he has had in his cam for years i went with a Diesel Pro's cam and saw great improvement and this is when Fletcher pointed out the tiny shaft mass, It was pointed out on another site but Don M got a little testy and was throwing the LAWSUIT word around like two 14yr old kids saying i love you :hehe:
