I would say the SB Con FE but if your going to hook to a sled at all you might wanna look into a Double Disc clutch, cause slipping a single disc pullin will ruin one quick.

I'm running a Valair singe, Full feramic w/ HD spring hub, It has takin awhile (about 500miles give or take) to get seated but its holding what I have got. I plan to be over 500 -550hp when I upgrade the turbo. It not made for alot of sled pullin, I would recommend a DD for that. I am going to get one sometime in the future, but for now I'm runnung the single

I love my sb dd 3600 sprung hub clutch and like my friends 3850 non sprung hub as well, daily driving is a breeze with either and dont need hydrolic upgrades for the 3600.

I have a ValAir 3800# plate load 12.25" single disk Ceramic clutch and the pedal pressure is as easy as stock and I have never slipped it. Even when I was running sledpulling injectors at 400+ rwhp. I tow, race and daily drive that clutch with no complaints, even my girlfriend likes the way it drives.

Price is great and the customer service is second to NONE, I talked to Dan just a while ago after my tranny busted and he gave me numbers to guys he gets discounts through for tranny rebuilds and when I put it all back together I should have a 1.375" billet input and one of there new Dual Disks in if everything goes well on my end lol.

PM me and I will give you Dan's (the VP of ValAir) number and tell him I sent you and he will hook you up.

when i had my 98.5 dually, i ran a ValAir clutch. I upgraded to the 13" instead of the 12.25. They sent me the clutch and flywheel for $700 something shipped. I dynoed at 401hp with 22.5" semi wheels. I never slipped it and i used to drag race every thursday night. I broke my tranny 3 times but the clutch never failed.

I think your best bet is to go with a DD first off. I made the mistake of going with a Con OFE, and now I am getting ready to buy a South Bend 3600 12CB ... I dont pull, my truck is basically just a street toy for me, but a dd is going to take more abuse than a single any day.

JW ... I was going to get the HD Hydraulic upgrade ... Someone said that you dont need it for a 3600 ... Am I missing something?

Consider a valair inc clutch

dan at valair has a hell of a product, for a hell of a price, and has top of the line customer service. Ive had two clutches in my truck from him, Why two? cause i blew a transmission and bought another clutch for my new transmission, BUT the old one with 30K miles and hard towing was still good as new and is my spare....

PM me for more details and trust me, u wont be disappointed. Im at about 450-500 or so rwhp, and my valair inc just laughs at what i can toss at it...

I did for my '02. You can skip it and get it later if you need it. My hydraulics started to fail after three weeks with the 3600 cb. The clutch has been abused for a couple years now and is still holding great.

I've got a Haisley Street Puller DD with the upgraded hydraulics, and I LOVE it!

Ok thanks ... For the price I will most likely just get it when I do the dd clutch. How will I like the 3600 12cb for driving on the streets?

You'll like it until you get stuck in traffic for an hour.

How would a 3250 hold up? ... Im aiming for mid to high 500's ... Dont plan on any pulling ... just a "street rod" for me ... Maybe on the strip once or twice ... would the 3250 be all that I would need? ... Would it hold up to launchs & burnouts or no?

Are you the gentleman that snapped his hub springs??? try to grenade this next one please. it will be my first.

Dual discs are the way to go if you are wanting to sled pull. single plates will hold up just not as well and will hurt ur Daily driving

Compare the two, the only difference will be the price.Valair gets my money

Give Pete @ Southbend Clutch a call-1-800-988-4345 Pete and Southbends reputation for standing behind their great clutches is second to none! If you have any problems- Pete is the man to call.

(I can't wait to install the custom unit they made for my Viper truck:evil )

And I've heard nothing but excellence in service about them.

I think it'd do fine, and might shift a little faster than mine. Call Peter for a good recommendation.
