Help Me Prevent a dreadful meltdown

smarty #9 and mp-8 - 780 on a single stg 3 cp3

smarty #8 doesnt do anything worthwhile on my truck on my truck

I read the title of this thread and the first thing that came to mind if don't drive the truck.

safest stack with the smarty is a pressure box of some sort. Dr. Performance, TS MP8, or Edge EZ. If you go with a dr. p box, make sure they know that you want pressure only.

From what I've seen, a pressure box won't do much good unless you have a modded cp3 or dual cp3's.

thanks for the answer my friend..

why wont a pressure box do good for a stock cp3? im confused now.. :(

Rick

so far im thinkin just a smarty for my 3500, and a dr p box if i can be convinced...

thanks!

Rick

I've seen several trucks with stock pumps gain little or nothing with the addition of a pressure box when strapped to the dyno. There are probably plenty of guys that have picked up power with pressure boxes on stock cp3s, but I've yet to see them.

It could be that the smarty is calibrated to extract maximum hp from relitively stock engines, commanding all the rail pressure that can efficiently be used. Add a modded pump and the game changes.

Good luck man, get back to us with some results.
