Alright ive been trin to come up with the perfect compilation of parts to buy to get my 12v running good. Heres what ive come up with. First my clutch is a SB3250 DD with witht the big input. My timing is set at 15.5* and would like to keep it there. im not sure what plate to run but right now i have a #11 in it and like it alright. But heres what the plan is Tell me if im way off and should spend money elsewhere. Im gonna buy a 4k GSK, SDX 5x12 injectors. but am stuck with what will be the best turbo. I am wantin a good all around setup for driving everyday and towing when i need too. I am also gonna stud the head but no o-rings as of now. What kind of power should i be putting down with the 5x12s and say a 0 plate. with whatever turbo i get? be it a super b, or some 62/71/14 or what ever?

With what you have listed in the sig and those future aditions... 375hp is my guess.

I did 440hp with HR370's and a 62/71. Conservative timing, would've helped with more.

How heavy are you towing? Tire size and gear ratio? I'm sure we can get you dialed in. Chris

o-ring the head, so you dont have to pull it twice. cause garunteed you will want more and more

i fi pull the head im deffinatly o-ringin it. but since my gasket is good im just gonna stud it one stud at a time. As far as how much i tow it will be anywhere from 3000 pound boat and trailer to 12000 pound gooseneck loaded down with stuff when i move. I dont tow heavy very often at all mabey once a year and then its not even that heavy just around 12k or so. ALso am buyin a 8k camper too.. How would a 62/65/12 do with 5x12s and 0 plate? i found a smokin deal on a d-tech but they only come in 62/65/12 or 64/65/12

I made within a couple horses of 450 with my 351, although I will say it can get hot towing or if you keep it pinned for too long. I would stick with a 62 of some kind. I will get you to your current horsepower levels you are talking about now, and could make a top turbo in twins if you decide to go for more later. I seem to remember hearing about a rig that was pretty close to 500hp with 5x.010 injectors and a 62/68/13ss, but there were some very knowledgable people working on tuning that thing.

what you got for me? i am trin to get the most ideal set up wether it is going with small injectors and big dvs or bigger injectors and smaller dvs or whatever the case may be. My truck has 3.54 gears, 33" mud tires. tow around 12k once or twice a year rest of the time its a 3000 pound ski boat. Id like a very streetable fun to drive truck with lots of power that can tow also. I use the truck everyday and use it for cross country trips also.
any more sugestions on how to get to around 450? what size injectors, turbo, dvs, plate size the whole works. 415rwhp would hurt my feelins niether would 475! 450 is just a round about number. Drivablity and towability are the two things i want my truck to do well. Dont want a lot of heat either.

what is with the 14 housing sugestion? what is the difference gonnas be wether i pick a 12cm housing or a 14?

Just my preference. Will not get as hot on the top end. If you want really quick spool go with the 12. Not much room for HP increase with the 12 though.

ok i see, but towing and low rpm stuff would be hotter egts witht he 14 though right? or no? most of the time im drivin is under 2000rpms, specialy when im in 5th cruising down the hwy im right at 2k.

put a 3b or s475 under your stock turbo and get 5x .014 injectors, 181 dv's for towing (stock). Studs will hold 50psi all day but I would o-ring down the road for a little insurance. I pushed 60+ psi on a stock gasket and stock studs a few times just to see if it would let go before I o-ringed it, didnt blow.
