help! truck tries to start with no keys

Got everything reinstalled tonight after having Seth work on my pump an nowvmy truck tries to start itself with no keys. Batteries have been on a charger last day or so cause I noticed the lights were dim after sitting for two weeks. I haven't touched anything electrical under the hood at all. Positive terminals became scalding hot while the truck was doing this. Any clues?
 
Starter gear is engaged in the ring gear making a connection on the contacts which is draining the battery. Take the starter off, lube the bendix, install new contacts and reinstall on truck, or toss it in the trash and buy a new stater and install new starter on the truck. Enjoy the empty wallet feeling until next payday! :Cheer:
 
Thought I should add that while its trying to crank it is very slow and sometimes clicks as if the batteries were dead. Batteries are at 14v each.
 
Damn truck. Ain't been touched in 2 weeks and now the starter is screwed. Oh well. Was gonna order a shutoff solenoid from larryb anyways, might as well add some of his starter contacts on as well.
 
I dang near took a hammer to the injection lines and the back 2 bolts on the pump tonight. Wish everything was as easy as injector swaps. I'm gonna make the entire front end one big quick connect. Would make working on this lifted blue bastard so much easier.

Tyler, i have a spare starter u can use til yours gets rebuilt. Unless your just gonna buy a new one.
