I'm looking forward to the end result... lots 'o' piping. Not much room for the 180 to the face of the secondary, but it looks like fun!

Nothing a sawzawl and a milling machine cant take care of...

As for plumbing I am using the same standard parts used in a twins set. There is only 4 additional inches straight material being used on the cold pipe.
 
I'm so jealous of the extra engine bay room that 1st gens have.......

are you doing the hood stack or still undecided
 
can someone explain the pipe routing and how it works on this? i always assumed the small turbo spooled the big one and that fed the engine.
 
JBradley, this is how it is routed.

The exhaust hits the 1st turbo which is your smaller, quicker lighting turbo. From there it goes to the big turbo. The charged air is opposite.

The reason you need the big one first in the charged air side of things is because it has low pressure (20-30 or so PSI) but big CFM. The small one doesn't know this but still compresses it even more adding its CFM. The end result is a quick spooling, big CFM setup, something you cannot get with a single.

ok that makes a lot of sense now that i looked at it... im used to looking at twins on gassers not compounds on diesels. i was trying to figure out how the big turbo was getting air to the intake lol thats where i was getting confused.
