never pulled, been a spectator for several years... same here. thats why I didn't go 2.8 cause my funds wont allow me to keep up with Terry and pretty much everyone in that class lol. but your right I've seen a lot of over powered trucks not do well because they didn't have their final drive ratio right. and the right tire tread.

did your gas truck have a name? mabe Ive seen it.
 
Yeah in the mid 90s i went pro stock 4x4 with a truck called wild side,dark blue 87 chevy. Gave that truck up in bout 2001 or so.(wife and new kid on the way) Also pulled a sky blue 80 chevy in alterd 4x4 through the late 80s to early 90s. Latley iv had a hand in a couple buddys trucks,motor,chasis that kind a thing.
If im not misstaken theirs a mod 4x4 gas truck up your way...think the truck is called welding rod??? Thats been a few years back though!

Welcome, that is my neighbor that owns welding rod, he has been at it for a long time. Hope to see you in ITPA.
 
No he's based out of Noblesville, the avatars are from the same pull in Texas this year.
