Hit the Dyno - Low numbers?

I've got a Redline to go on it before the last dyno event so I'll try that. Not sure what a good timing box would be to stack with it though? Going to check for codes tomorrow to hopefully rule out it being the VP. Maybe it's just a bad tap too and not that my Adrenaline is shot.

Appears to be way under fueled. It should smoke like a pig with those sticks and that 66 probably even start to spool until 1800-2000 rpm.

indeed...my 6x.013's can definitely blot out the sun...

even without wiretap they can still lay out a cloud before the twins spool if I mash the skinny to the floor.

Yeah, I even mentioned to my buddy how it seemed like there wasn't much smoke. I guess I just kinda chalked it up to me having never been outside the truck when it was run hard.

Are sure tyler said it was at that amount of boost?

I know it took about 6 runs on my truck to properly load it with the truck brakes. But that was back when tyler was fairly new at operating the dyno, but if your brakes are ****ty you won't get a good reading.

I know the injectors are too big for the current set-up but like I said I'm moving to a p-pump this winter. If I was staying with the VP I would have went with 6x013s at the most. Anywho getting off subject. No It wasn't smokey at all really. Heres the first 3 runs. The fourth, and run that the adrenaline was on kill was not much smokier but I didn't get a video of that one.

For smoke comparison, this is an electronics off run with 57/475 twins 7x.014's and an so. Excuse the filming, my buddy was very enamored with the smoke.

On edit, I can't seem to get a good link

6x.013s and my VP is quite shot....

I'm on the fueling issue bandwagon, you are way too clean and didnt come up through the RPMs very fast

I agree with these guys. A good buddy had similar setup and it would smoke like crazy. MPM 6x13s, drag comp, SO vp and a 66/71/14. Did 600hp and 12.2s with that setup. If it doesn't smoke a whole lot more then that on the street then you have a major fueling issue.

You just get those recently?

yeah. I installed them earlier this month, pretty much a day or two after I got them from Weston. I was running DDP150's before these.

Did 538/1078 with the same twins on my DDP150s before tuning the adrenaline or the twins in.

won't know for sure what I'm putting out now till after the 10th. (dyno day I set up for our state)

at least this time around I'm using my "butt-dyno" to make some adjustments to the timing and fueling before the dyno day.

Already adjusted the gate quite a bit and got 8-10psi more boost from the twins. Still playing with the timing, duration, boost reference, and TPS settings to see where it feels strongest and smoothest at.

Was that 3rd gear? If so thats part of the problem

Not sure to be honest. I just asked him. Have to see what he says. What gear should it be dyno'd in?

I'm almost positive he told me 22 psi. To be sure I asked him again. I honestly don't know a whole lot about dynoing a vehicle so I'm not sure if he got it properly loaded up or not. I mean it hit 58 psi so I assumed it was good. My brakes are severely worn on this truck. How does bad brakes effect the reading?

To everyone, thanks for the input so far. Really appreciate it! :Cheer:

He just told me he tried it in OD off and drive, with lower numbers in drive. Started the runs at 20 psi.

Okay, we some of you have said less then 20 psi and then you and the dyno guy say 20 psi. Confused, as to why on either starting point. Just trying to get things figured out so I can have the most accurate dyno that I can all things considered.

when i dyno'd mine (me driving), i based it off of wheel speed with the converter locked and in o/d. got it in o/d and used the brakes to drag it down.

i pulled mine down to 45mph the first pull......50ish the second and 60ish on the last one. the last pull it came up the fastest but the first pull had the highest hp.
