Holy $hi%!

We have one at the shop for a project. When you're out there building performance parts you gain a special respect for pieces like this when you pull them out of the box. Plus his airport terminal humor is second to none.

Heres some more pics!

Im picking head up monday so i'll get more then!

Will vee-banding the air tube to the intake make a reliable connection? I'd think you would want a rubber boot to allow for engine movement even though there's one between it and the intercooler.

i'd say the same thing... Might put alot of movement into the lower boot causing premature failure...

But then again it might not be an issue

Here's some pics of it installed on the head and all painted up.just waiting on pipes an v/c to get powdercoated and it's gettin installed!!!

very nice. What did you have done to the head. Port work? What did it cost to mill off the stock intake?

sad thing is that something that nice and expensive only takes like 20 min on a cnc..

That thing is sexy. that intake and a matching billet valve cover would be awsome only with a clear hood so everyone could enjoy the looks also.

Ok can someone tell me the positives for an intake like that other than looks. Do they perform well on 12v and 24v also. You really got my interest up.

yea it is, i was thinking about cutting mine off, I made one and it looked pretty good but i had way to much money in the head to mess with it.

You can port the intake ports of the head. Without it, you can really only port the exhaust side because the manifold is cast as part of the head. Machine it off, port and polish, throw that sexy beast on there. You do lose your intake heater, but guys get rid of those anyway

Where is the one you built? Lets see it. Is this how you came up with your 20 minute cycle time to make one? If it works and looks good we'd start you out at @$1000 an hour (including materials) to build them for us.

You had too much money into the head to not want to remove the biggest drawback on it, after building a custom intake for it?

You realize this is like saying the bellhousing gasket costs too much to justify running any converter other than the one that came in the truck.

So, seriously why didnt you want to run it?

must have on of those new 10 axis dual head high speed Haas mills. LOL
