horrible milage

Again, talking auto trans, manuals always do better. Also he is talking city driving, not highway.

01 ext long 4x4 auto qaud adr 150 inj B1 5inch 33x12.5 nitto mud on 20s I get 13 to 14 if my wife drives she can get 18 to 19

I drove 500 miles every other weekend for over 2 years dating my woman and I did lots of mileage calculations. 1, granny driving is for a prius. Get your turbo lit, moderate acceleration nets you better mpg. This has been proven, your best mpg is crusing so if all you do is slowly accelerate then you never cruise. 2, Slower is not better, with 3.54 gears and 35's I get better mpg's at 75 then 70, 1800-2100 rpm, 10 psi, 600 egt. These are the magic numbers to stay under, try driving not looking at your speedo but these three. 3, turn it up. With Edge products at least 6x5 or 5x5 you get better mpg. My right foot is my cruise, factory cruise control and a chip wastes fuel.
So yes hand calculated by gps my mpg is 23 driving 75mph with moderate acceleration. No B.S.

I'm talking about a fairly built auto 4x4 truck with oversized tires, not some stock 2wd...

Gee that's funny truck was originally getting 16 to 17 when I bought it. Only thing I have done is change from a Edge Juice to a Quad ADR and I daily drive on level 2. Oh yeah I took the holley blue off in favor of a Raptor. Wow these mods make us loose mileage now I see why everybody does it! ;)

I agree with nrose07, I get better mileage when I'm driving like normal instead of trying to drive like an 80 year old woman. The best I'm getting is 15-16 with my edge on 5 and a fass pumping 14 psi or better.

would a stuck thermostat make a difference being that the motor is over cooled? since diesels like to be hot
