Hot pipe completed.... now cold pipe?

Anybody ever heard of a tight radius donut? Why would you ever slam the air 90 degrees into another pipe when you could just use a donut?

This is off of hellmans website

That's exactly where I got the idea from...Gotta give credit where it is due. LOL It is so insanely cramped under the hood of the new fords I didn't have alot of options without reducing the air inlet to my primary down to a 4" pipe or cutting a huge notch in the 5" I managed to fit with it piped like shown.

I doubt that anyone would purposefully make air do things like that if they had one of those donuts sitting right there.

The funny part is that 12v is prob. making 2 times the power of your 7.3....Stick to what you know. Losing your mind and getting banned from forums. LMFAO

the idea to grasp with firing perpendicular into a pipe like that is:

does it make power? yes.

Would a better design make it perform better? Yes!

I'm sure if I botched my ductwork in the same way my truck would pick up around 600hp too...

For anyone interesting in doing something like you've got some sense...

The links posted above should suffice.

I used a 90 degree 4 inch by 3inch silicone 90 off of the top of my he351. It clears the on board air compressor with ease. Two more 90 make it into the out let of the 3b. Real simple pipe.

They make the donuts up to five inch. That's going to make it so much easier to make the changes I need to do.

Charles thanks for the link!

I've used these in ag setups, they will heat soak and become soft. Stay away!

I guess it will go into the pile of "not such a good idea" in the corner of the garage then! Damn that pile is getting big.... LOL.

;)
