Had my '04 for a year with a Tst bullydog stack pulled it a few times, things were getting tougher around here. Bought a smarty, built ladderbars, then stock turbo layed down, put a 64mm turbo on and a used dual disk, was getting better, last Winter I shaved the pistons stg 3 cp3 180 hp nozzles, 66mm turbo, head studs, valvesprings, new haisley clutch, new hitch, more programming, and still making payments on it, and my only vehicle, which i daily drive, It's been going on for almost 5 years now

Well I started out with my 94 DD, ol gal had 284000 on the clock. She had been good to me. Then bought the 04 for a new DD. Instead of selling the 2wd 94, (I just couldnt stand to let her go) I decided to do What Everyone was telling me I COULDN'T do and made a puller out of her, Saved most of the first year and bought bolt on parts and close to the last of the '08 season, Had enough to put her together. Made about 8 hooks before it was time to put her up for the winter. Well I had a good base and knew I had potential in what i was trying to do. So the winter rebulid began, Got a new charger, New paint, Put her on a little diet, and ended up with what I have now. I have also been working the bugs out of her all year and hopefully will be more competitive in the 2010 season. Still trying to decide if I wanna jump up to ODL class or not, Thats where I stand to date. Cant wait til next season. :rockwoot:

Well i have a '95 f-250 was my DD i drove it 60 miles back and forth to work every day with it. About 6 months ago the trany took a crap on me so i got a car to conserve on fuel. So I had read a while back about a dt466 swap and was extremely interested. So now i have the shell now f the rest, i have gotten alot of advice and direction no just time to spend te money. Like the first guy said a lttle hard to do on construction wages!! oh well t is what i want to do!

Alway like to see the motivation and interests of the new comers. Its alot of trial and error for the first few pulls or even your first couple of seasons, no matter which class your in, but eventually everything will payoff.

Yeah i bet there is a lot of fine tuning! I just cant wait to be the one behind the wheel of the truck everyone is watching ya know.

I tried going all out at once when I started putting my 97 together for pulling, but ran out of money and wound up giving the thing away, literally, when it came time to have a running truck as a daily driver. The new owner didn't have to put much into it to get it running and pulling, and did pretty well. He's gone way beyond the setup he got from me, and it was even used by Garrett(PDP) when his black truck was down.

I'm picking up a bare frame from a 98 2500 12v 5 spd QCSB, getting some axles, and starting from scratch. I'm still unsure if it will be a puller, or a driver, and have no plans of it being completed before 2013. We had a son about 2 weeks ago, going to look into buying a house within the next year, and need to get some stable income from the both of us, instead of full-time temp or seasonal work. Anyways, this project will be as time and money allows, not going to push getting it completed, no matter how frustrating it might be. Got burned once, not going to again.

mine started as a bare F350 frame last April, and in four months of evenings and weekends, built the entire truck - every nut and bolt - new body - new motor new turbo, driveshafts bars, hitch etc etc
We did all of the design, fab and assembly and a lot of parts came from here or Ebay so things were very cheap at the end of the day
Getting a sponsor who wanted to do a custom paint job saved a ton of money - all we hadda do was prep the panels, and have it primed
Truck worked ok last year for a VE pumped truck

However i would be remiss if not to say this wasnt my first kick at the can - this will be the fifth pull truck I have built over the years

First truck was the same though bare frame to truck in about four months, supported by some $5000 in sponsor money
