How much of an advantage is Open Driveline?

How much weight would it take to even out.

in theory though thinking about that...rev's should be more consistant durring a pull as the engine isn't loaded down as hard causing the tires to break loose and spin out. I think I would rather see more consistant revs (even a little higher than before) and grenading a rear end and having the engine spike high because of the break. Just my personal theory/opinion

Sence most seem to think the only adavantage is realiabilty why cant that b an option in any class 2.6 and up ,dont have to run all out if u want big rear fine or if u just want to run a drop box then fine

what are you guys going to be running for brakes if you are running F106's or larger in the rear. The stock drums on my brothers 106 are HUGE compared to any 1-ton stuff. I guess you could convert them to disks like the 14bolt guys do it but its still alot of work.

For you guys that dont think open drive line is not an advanged than go to IL and watch those guys before the pull. They're always changing gears and if that doesnt do it for you go talk to a big mod gas truck and see what they say. I pull with a gas mod truck and we have over ten different sets of gears and we change it to every track. We have been having motor trouble the last two years and by changing the gears we are still in top 5 every hook. Open drive line is worth all money spent in my opion to make your truck go down the track ten times better.

LOL Ya good idea. Explain to the guy that is inspecting your truck how a solid rear end and drop box is legal to pass inspection. Those are for street legal trucks. Get real real dude. Please tell me you were being a smart a$$ with that suggestion.
