If you work your ass off you can make good money but auto body shops kick your ass.

I've only helped out a couple times... No way in hell I'd do it for a career.. It's a great thing to know though.

My buddy thats done body work is a little touched in the head......he attributes it to years of breathing paint fumes, clear fumes and thinner fumes

Im a service writer at a shop in Ohio.

Full paint jobs run 5k-6k on trucks. So $4500 isnt bad. Just make sure everything gets taken off before it gets painted or it will peel later
