time for new tires, I was wondering how wide of a tire i can get away with on a stock dually wheel ( 16x6 ) ? I have 2" spacers so thats not a issue, just wondering what is being run on this narrow of a wheel.

I wouldn't go any wider than a 265 tire on those wheels. I have seen numerous duallies with 285's and spacers, but my opinion is that a 265 is better for the thinner wheel. Keeps tire wear even, reduces the chance of sidewalls touching when the tire squats. And I also think they look better than the 285. Personal opinion though.

I'd run a 255/85-16 to get the same diameter as a 285/75-16, but narrower.

I have seen 37x13.5 on 16" rims. They bulged a ton but still looked good. No clue how big a spacer was used.

i know guys that have run 285x75x16's 255x85x16's. and 33x13.5x16 truxus sts all on a 6in wide wheel. but i think the 255x85x16 is the best fit for width you will fing ina tire that is close to 33''.

I'd vote for a 255/85-16.

But Jory's 285s look sweet. And he has towed some heavy loads with them.

I ran 315/75-16's on my stock wheels, but like kas83 I also had some bad wear and they were ballooned out pretty good. The only thing I didn't like about it was they stuck out far enough to sling rocks at the mirrors and windows.

here is my truck let me know if you want more info on what ive done to it. there 35x13.50xr17

Thats a good lookin setup neilden. I almost got the rockstar duallies until I got a great deal on semis. Rockstars are the only aftermarket dually wheels I like before you start getting into 22's and higher.

looks good neilden, what suspension are you running to clear 35s ? I have 2" leveling kit w/ 255.85.16 bfg m/t's. My plan is to run a 16x10 wheel in the front and as wide as I can get away with on the rear w/ a 2" spacer. Looking at 295.75.16 terra grapplers all around there only 11.50 wide but a little taller than a 255. With a 255 youre pretty limited on what tire you can run.

THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR INPUT !!
