I've been helping out a buddy of mine with his truck and was curious what he should be hitting when finished. Mods include the following:

Mach 7 Injectors
Smarty with the version that revs to 3400
Edge Drag Comp
HX Super 40 turbo
AFE Stage 2
FASS 150
Scheid HRVP44
Helix 2 Cam
F1 Valve Springs
Fireringed Head / Studs

Any guesses?

lots of fuel for such a dinky turbo!! ditch the hrvp and get a silver bullet

I've been trying to convince him he needs either a different or another turbo, but he's a little hard headed. (We've had a preturbo post turbo EGT probe arguement for over a year, I say preturbo)

with a better turbo that combo could do high 500's and maybe if he lucky crack 600hp.

i ran mach 7's with hrvp44, silver bullet, smarty that fuels past 3400, and TST competition and did 581.

jktcummins just did 590hp with an adrenaline, 11 holes (~240hp), hrvp, .093 tubes, and a silver 64. He's going to need a lot more air for those injectors. Ditch the HRVP and get a silver bullet or something similar.

mach 7's are very streetable injectors----I have some in my truck right now--no box & just an ol' worn out B1 and they hardly smoke----you add a box though and they will smoke until boost comes up and then they will clear up, of course depending on the turbo----

he needs another turbo---gonna pop like stated---if he likes cleaning out the innercoooler and possibly redoing his head or block--tell him to go for it, but we want vids----chris

Thats impossible to be anywhere close to 600 with single 64. Your crazy.LOL

I would have never figured the Mach 7 to be streetable the way they are explained on the F1 webpage!
Can you tow with them?

A 40/3b setup would go well with his setup, and the Mach 7's are very clean and driveable, even with a 66 single. Twins are even cleaner, and if not going up mountians or long grades you could hook to a trailer and do some light towing with a good set of twins.

Would it be better to have a 35 or a 40 on the top? I was just talking to him and he says that the 40 as a single has more lag than he likes. But I'm not sure what he was expecting.

If he hates lag, don't put the 40 on top, he will like a 35 much better.

A 35 on top will limit max HP some, but in my opinion, street manners is more important that max HP.

A 3B would work good with that 40, but I lke the idea of an HT60 with it...thats what I'm building. And with my 40 I have very little lag Andrew, what is your friend expecting, crotch rocket like throttle response?
