I was swapping injectors in my truck & noticed that the HTT 3 piece manifold has a crack dead center on top. The crack stops at the webbing. Does HTT have any kind of warranty on their manifolds?...I can't remember.

i had one that did that exact thing and figured i must have did it when i bolted up the turbo or something, i bought another one and had it ceramic coated ,i hope it dont crack.

Well, I guess I'll have to weld it up until I can get cash to buy a ATS manifold. I can't find my reciept & the company I bought it from closed down. HTT will not warranty it without reciept. This sucks!

I have an ATS and it is cracking in the same spot. My HTT cracked also in the same spot, they didn't leak......yet!

I can see soot on my engine block, mine is definately leaking underneath. Just a little bit of black on the top between 3 & 4.

My "Brand X" did it twice
First time it did it between the webbing of the divided flange
then the second on the top
JB weld!

Garrett

JB weld burns off LOL I tried it

I just find it so funny that these aftermarket pieces were designed for just that, to prevent manifold cracking, and look whats happening to them.:kick:

My ats one has been goin strong for 5 or more years now. But im not gonna look to hard at it cause its gonna split now that i said that.

I was really shocked to be honest. I have bought turbos from HTT for quite a few trucks over the years. When I called in about the manifold, guy asked "who is this?" I said "Jamie" He replied "Jamie Lent". Does that tell you how much stuff I've ordered from HTT? I tried returning a 2nd gen compressor housing that was 32 days old, never used. HTT wouldn't trade it for a 3rd gen housing because it was longer than 30 days. I called II & they swapped it out for me free of charge. II also rebuilt one of HTT's turbos for 1/2 price of what HTT quoted me. After them doing this, I am through with dealing with HTT. A man can only get shafted so many times.

Thermal Barrier Coatings.:Cheer:

There's your answer.

Since I started coating the insides only with the 2000* white stuff I haven't had a manifold warp/crack or any bolts shear off/go missing since. Well, except for one that didn't get coated...

I used to average around 3 months or so before I would warp one or break a bolt or something. Now, nothing after a few years. Ceramic coating with stainless hardware has proven effective for me.
