Does anyone know if HTT is able to start offering a fix for the leaking pucks on the stainless housings? I have the 62/71/13 for the top charger in a twins application and the leaking pucks are costing me about 100-120hp. Sent it back to HTT once and I still have a leaking issue, it is adversely affecting spoolup and limiting max hp. Anybody else in the same boat?

I would give HTT a call on Monday...

I thought I was beginning to experience the same problem again so I talked to HTT last week and they said they they have the "fix" but are waiting for it to come out of production. They didn't give me an ETA.

After I pulled the turbo I found out that the wastegate arm/pucks wasn't the issue. Good news is that the replacement arm they gave me two months ago along with a little shaving of the housing (in case it bent forward again) has worked for about 5,000 miles with no issues. Bad news is that I had excessive shaft play and needed a rebuild. They are recommending more frequent oil changes for people with larger injectors to keep the soot levels in check. I threw on an Amsoil bypass kit this afternoon, so I'm hoping that helps, too.

i just replaced the pucks in my 62/13 this week and the new ones seem to make a really tight seal on the housing, i guess we will seee.

Good info, i need to change my oil.

I guess the the question to High Tech is going to be is this going to be a somewhat permanent fix or Am I goin to have issues In another 1000 miles. Hell the turbo only has 1000miles on it.

If you have the dyno runs showing the hp difference between the leaking pucks and the non leaking pucks, I'd like to see where in the rpm range it's happening. I had some trouble on the dyno with a .8 cast iron housing recently that had been run pretty hard on a common rail and it looked like it started at a cerain point and then messed up the numbers from that point on. You can pm me if it's easier.

you guys have me wondering too, I have the 64 71 13 ss housing turbo, and have a helluva time with smoke befor e it spools, just lil ole flux 2's and an arson 3 kit pushin fuel...... I do make plenty of boost once I am on it, but gettin to ten psi takes tiem and smoke......... I emailed HTT today and will give them a few days to reply b4 I start the phone calls.

Man Mike, I dunno. I spoke to Angleo about yours at the open yesterday. That charger lit extremely fast on the dyno yesterday I thought. Usually when they have issues they labor for a little while before getting lit.

i talked to jonas thursday and the parts were still not all there

he said another week or two at the most

I know it lit fast on the dyno, but that was already turnin 15 hundred rpm before ya romped for the run, it is the from a stop get it spoolin that just seems slow and smokey. I hate to think of having to tear it all apart to check for the issue. had a great time down there yesterday, good luck and hook a brother up on a price for HTT intercooler for me, no joke !

Jonas was the one I delt with too for my temp. fix......He said he'd put me on a list for the new fix.....

Hopefully I can send it in while im down having my injectors fixed/checked....

I sent my housing in last week. HTT said they fix them that day, and send them back out.

I'm wondering if mine is but I don't know. It's running and seems to be spooling fine.

Does your boost gauge "flutter" over 20psi? If so you have a leaky gate

What are significant signs that the pucks are not sealing? Perhaps this be happening to me and I do not even no it.

My boost gauges flutter like a mofo, boost numbers peak and drop. Are these signs??

point taken...however I sent my gauges back to auto meter cause they fluttered bad..they added something dampening to elimiate the flutter. But maybe my gate has been shot all along?
